[Best played in FULLSCREEN, and if you're having trouble reading the recipes, use the ENTER key to focus on the Book]

"Welcome to the Dragonscale Apothecary! You're the new owner! Scale up your new alchemy business with more and more complex orders on an expanding potion brewing workspace! "

With this year's theme of 'Built to Scale', we wanted to focus on building and scaling a business. The game starts as a cozy colour-matching puzzle game, but over time expands into a hectic strategy game where the player is juggling more aspects of production. Additionally, the camera pulls back to reveal the scaling work space as more elements are brought to the table.

Gameplay:

Stage 1:          CLICK on the coloured TILES to match the VIAL Recipe

Stage 2:          CLICK on the coloured VIALS to match the POTION Recipe.     Additional Vials can be made by using the Tiles

Stage 3:          CLICK on the coloured POTIONS to match the ELIXIR Recipe.     Additional Potions can be made by using the Vials and Tiles

Controls:

Click on the DECK of Tiles to SHUFFLE current Tile selection

Click on the LEFT & RIGHT PAGES of the BOOK to see previous Tile and Vial Recipes

ENTER on the keyboard will focus on the BOOK and PAUSE the game

Due to the nature of this being a GameJam, the game may have bugs! We are also aware of some issues for players who may be colour blind or colour sensitive. We apologies for any difficulties you have playing this game. We did take these issues into consideration, but ran out of time to implement non colour-based distinctions for the vials and potions.

Nice unique take on the theme. Definitely separates it from the others I've played. This feels pretty polished as well, great job!

Thank you for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it! :D

Loved the art and music, the bloom was a bit harsh on the cards, but overall great

Thank you! Yeah the bloom was overtuned a bit, but the artist dealing with that stuff and an emergency on the last day and didn't have time to correct it. Hopefully it didn't negatively impact you too much :D

Nope, just a bit hard to see the cards sometimes, I was able to "beat" the game, regardless.
